Aston Swallownest Juniors are a football club based in the combined villages of Aston, Swallownest and Aughton on the outskirts of Sheffield, England.
We are a feeder club to Rotherham United and have a catchment area including Aston, Treeton, Woodhouse, Beighton, Dinnington and Todwick although we welcome players and families from anywhere in the Sheffield / Rotherham area.
We have Junior boys competing in the Sheffield and District Sunday League, Girls teams of all ages competing in the Shefield and Hallamshire Girls County League and Three senior sides participating in the Blades Superdraw League , Windsor County Senior League and South Yorkshire Amateur League with a U18s team participating in the Sheffield and District DB Sports League.
The club continues to improve standards both on and off the pitch and have had Charter Standard certification for some while now.

Charter Standard require that all our managers are trained to a minimum FA level one and have the relevant First Aid and extended CRB checks.
Some of our members have level 2 and referee qualifications and the club encourages anyone involved in the club to improve standards. Click on the image to read more about Aston FC and our charter standard.
We like to think that we serve the community and we have strong links to other organisations in the area such as all the junior and infant schools, the comprehensive school and other sporting and social clubs in the area.

The website was created in June 2008 by the then U16s manager after numerous requests from parent for our non existent web address. The site uses a collaborative approach allowing articles and details to be added and modified by all the key club members without requiring them all to be web experts. It also allows us to add new features and change the layout without bringing the site down. We hope that everyone enjoys our site and welcome any suggestions which you feel may improve the experience. Please email or phone any of the contacts shown on the site and all suggestions will be taken seriously.
We welcome people to register with the site. Doing this allows us (Aston FC) to restrict some information to registered users only and manage who is allowed to be registered.
It is a requirement when accessing the forums that you be registerd and logged in. Once logged in you are able to customize your user in many ways, changing your avatar (image) and subscribe to RSS feeds from the forum for instant post notification.
We hope that we have created an environment which encourages people to visit and revisit the site because they find it interesting. In the coming season we will be encouraging managers to write match reports each week as well as keep records about training and any other news which affects the teams /clubs such as latest Tote draws. We will be encouraging the players to use the forums to discuss matches and all matters concerning the club. |
