Adlington JFC's Summer Weekender brought two days of junior grassroots football to the club on Saturday 25 July and Sunday 26 July 2026.
The 7-a-side tournament was based on 2025/26 age groups, with Boys U11 and Boys U14 involved on Saturday before Boys U12 and Girls U14 took centre stage on Sunday.
Across the weekend, teams had the chance to compete through Champions and Europa sections, giving players more opportunities to enjoy meaningful matches and finish the event with plenty to be proud of.
The weekend was about more than results. Players represented their teams with effort and respect, families supported from the touchline, and the clubhouse helped create a welcoming tournament atmosphere with hot and cold food and drink available.
Photos from the event captured what tournament football is all about: team-mates together, medals around necks, tired legs, big smiles and memories made in the Adlington colours.
A huge thank you goes to every team, family, coach, volunteer and supporter who helped make the Summer Weekender possible and kept junior football thriving in Adlington.
