Adlington JFC is delighted to share that the club has been awarded a grant to help improve the grass pitches at King George Playing Fields.
The funding has been awarded through the Football Foundation, with support from the Premier League, The FA and the Department for Culture, Media and Sport.
The grant will enable the club to invest in pitch improvements for local grassroots footballers who play at the facilities, as well as the wider community who use and support football in Adlington.
Good grass pitches are at the heart of grassroots football. Better playing surfaces support training, matchdays, player development and the overall experience for children, families, coaches and visiting teams.
For a volunteer-led community club, investment like this makes a real difference. It helps raise standards across the site and supports the long-term aim of giving young players a safe, welcoming and enjoyable place to play.
A huge thank you goes to the Football Foundation, the Premier League, The FA and DCMS for backing grassroots football and helping clubs like Adlington JFC keep improving facilities for local players.
